With specialized training in oral surgery from San Francisco General Hospital, Dr. Stegelvik offers advanced procedures with precision and care. He has also received advanced orthodontic training from the United States Dental Institute, allowing him to provide comprehensive treatment options for his patients. Dr. Stegelvik is a proud member of the American Dental Association and the Redwood Dental Society.
Outside the office, he enjoys a long and happy marriage of over 50 years with his wife, Carolyn. Together, they love golfing, hiking, and flying.

Dr. Dorel Onea is a highly trained periodontist with extensive experience in advanced periodontal care. He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of the Pacific in San Francisco and completed a three-year post-doctoral periodontal program at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, where he also received a Master of Science in periodontics. His academic background includes a Bachelor of Science in general biology from California State University, Hayward, and a biology teaching degree from Romania.
Dr. Onea is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology—an achievement that reflects the highest level of professional knowledge and clinical expertise in his specialty. He is an active member of numerous professional organizations, including the American Academy of Periodontology, American Dental Association®, California Dental Association, and Sacramento Dental Society. In addition to patient care, Dr. Onea provides continuing education for dentists and serves as a Dental Board of California examiner for conscious sedation licenses.

Dr. Ian van Zyl has three dental degrees: a Bachelor of Dental Surgery from King’s College London in 1985, a Master of Science in prosthodontics from the University of Michigan in 1992, and a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Detroit in 1997.
His master’s degree was sponsored by a Harkness Fellowship (equivalent to a Rhodes Scholarship). Dr. van Zyl is a dental specialist in prosthodontics, including crowns, bridges, dentures, and implant restorations, with a special interest in aesthetics, microscope dentistry, and non-painful procedures.

When not in the office, Dr. van Zyl enjoys mountain climbing, walking on Blind Beach in Sonoma County, sitting next to Alder and Lee creeks, and traveling internationally.
